Passion Flower for Fibromyalgia
Passion flower, also referred to as Passiflora incarnate, is a flowering plant that is used as an herbal remedy for insomnia, stress, and anxiety by many people. The Passion flower plant is native to the USA as well as several other places of the world including China, parts of southern Asia and much of South America.
The main herbal use of passion flower is for anxiety relief. Although, most physicians don’t prescribe passion flower for anxiety because of the lack of scientific evidence of its effectiveness. Some people have reported that taking passion flower for anxiety treatment is as effective as some prescription anxiety medications.
Another benefit many experience from this plant is help with sleep. Chemical substances in the passion flower is said to have a very calming and sedating effect. Many say that taking passion flower reduces muscle spasms. Some individuals have also taken passion flower for gastrointestinal symptoms like an upset stomach.
We know that there is no cure for fibro, but after a little research it isn’t hard to see why Passion flower is a popular natural resource for those suffering from this condition.

Thanks for the comment. There are several way to buy it. Pills, Tea, Drops, etc. However, I am not sure the process of using the plant when you grow it yourself. I will have to look into that

Brewing Passionflower in Tea
You can make a sedative tea by adding 8-ounces of boiling water to a teaspoon of dried passionflower leaves (place the leaves in a tea ball or muslin bag). Let steep for five minutes. Limit the dosage to one cup about an hour before bedtime.
