Celebrities with fibromyaglia
Fibromyalgia sucks, there I said it. This is no surprise to you I am sure. From the comments I read on our facebook page and group to the forums and blogs I frequent about fibromyalgia, I find one of the hardest things sufferers deal with is the feeling of being all alone. One of the reasons we started MyFibromyalgiaDiet.com was to encourage you to keep pressing through and find ways to treat and live through your symptoms.
Today, I thought I would try to lighten the mood and share with you a few celebrities that also deal with this horrible condition. Fibromyalgia is not just a condition that effects your average Joe or Jane, it can happen to anyone!
1. Susan Flannery
Four-time Emmy-winning actress known best as the ruthless and family-driven Stephanie Forrester on the daytime soap The Bold and the Beautiful since 1987.
In 2007, Susan made news headlines after she asked the show for medical leave, in an attempt to treat her ongoing battle with fibromyalgia. Susan since has returned to show once again as the monarchy of the Forrester family. She wasn’t cured and still deals with this condition but she reportedly takes her fibromyalgia condition “day by day”.
2. Michael James Hastings
You may remember Michael as the Captain Mike from the TV series “The West Wing.” He has also worked as a public school teacher for 10 years and a church counselor for three years.
After retiring early due to his fibromyalgia, Michael became a national spokesperson for this condition, and promotes the Enzymatic Therapy line of vitamin supplements, which claim to help reduce certain symptoms of fibromyalgia.
3. Morgan Freeman
Recently Esquire.com shared an interview with Morgan Freeman entitled “This Earth that Holds Me Fast Will Find Me Breath.” In this interview (on the second page), Morgan Freeman talks about having Fibromyalgia and the excruciating pain he has in his arm. For Mr. Freeman, this started after a car accident about four years ago. Despite the pain, he makes the best of the situation and even plays golf with one hand
Rumored to Have Fibromyalgia, But No Proof

2. Debbie Allen
I would love to update this article as often as I found new celebrities that have been outspoken about having this condition. If you know of any please comment or shoot as an email and we will add them to the article and give you thanks and credit in the article as well.

Hi Ryan – I try to update my website quarterly, sharing any new tips on helping people with fibro. On the bottom of the front page of my website, I have a few recent items that have helped some. I also have a tab on the front page which leads to supplements that can help as well. I am currently working on a film about fibromyaligia, however I am focusing on natural ways of healing the body, and not through pharmaceuticals. You can visit my website at: http://www.captainhastings.com My prayers are with both you and your wife. Michael James Hastings
